How can I relieve a toothache?
When you notice you have a toothache it’s important to book in to see your dentist as soon as possible to find out what the cause of the toothache is. Often patients will leave a dental toothache for months before seeking treatment due to the dreaded “bill” attached to it. In many situations the toothache can be easily fixed with a filling, but is often left too late and then more drastic dental treatment is required.
For most patients unfortunately a toothache occurs late in the evening or early morning when the dental practice won’t be open. For situations like this we recommend using panadol and nurofen in combination with each other as the best relief of dental pain. Alternatively you could use clove oil on the end of an ear bud which acts as a natural sedative for the throbbing never.
